Each piece of Andrew Logan jewellery is a one-off design, hand-made by Andrew Logan and bearing his signature.  This shimmering brooch pin was created in 2020 and is named 'Black Hole'.

The brooch is created around a slice of patterned material in shades changing from a dark brown/black colour in the centre out to a red colour on the outer edges.  This disc, representing the 'black hole', is laid over red resin drawn into an irregular shape and embedded with nine pieces of dark red mirror glass, 25 small squares of red glass and several small red beads.  The edges of the resin are decorated with mainly red resin and a sprinkling of white around the centre of the brooch.

This piece of wearable sculpture measures approximately 11  by 8.5 cm at its widest points and weighs 38 g.
